			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Many hotels in Phoenix, including ours, didn&#8217;t sell out for the Superbowl. The reason? The Giants beat the Packers. The Packers were favored to beat the Giants and many Packer fans had booked rooms for the superbowl anticipating a New England vs Greenbay showdown. After the Giants won the NFC championship all our hotels in the region saw approximately 25% cancellations. Being several weeks before the game there wasn’t enough time to lower rates and/or cater to Giants fans.</p>
<p>As much as upsets are fun to watch, uncertainty is bad for business. Well, unless you happen to be a Vegas bookie.</p>
