Have you ever met someone and after talking with them for 15 minutes you knew you could be friends with them forever?
You can sense that they are completely genuine. They say what they mean, and mean what they say. They don’t pretend; they act. They understand they are better then most people, yet never feel the need to profess it. They don’t care what people think. Others opinions don’t matter. Their sense of pride is not derived from others. They never look for pity or worse, compliments. They don’t pretend to know what they don’t. Every action they perform is representative of their character.
Those are people I can connect with and remain friends with. It’s not a connection of ‘Damn she’s hot’ or ‘He’d be fun to party with’ but something superior then that. It is something I can’t feel. It’s something I know.
I’ve met very few people like that in my life.
