One of my cousins wanted a digital camera, so I went Wednesday to GoodGuys to buy one for him before my dad left for India. I checked out both the 300D and the 10D while I was there. The 10D felt nice but its pretty damn heavy. With a relatively small lens on it, it still felt like 3-4 pounds. That quite a lot of weight for a camera, but then again it has the sturdy feel and a metal casing.
In response to my last post, John Virawv, emailed me telling me to definitely go with the 10D. He feels that the 300D is basically meant for amateurs and to steal some of the Nikon’s market in the “prosumer” category.
I’m getting more and more confused of what to but. Feature and build quality wise, the 10D is a far superior camera but I’m not sure if it’s worth the extra $500.
