So, I bought a camera

Nikon Coolpix 5700 : )

Bought it from a site called BuyDigitalDirect.com. I suggest you look into it for electronics. Cheapest I could find around.

Moving on, one thing I really need to learn better from my dad is negotiating the price. I spent like 35 minutes on the phone with the sales representative, and got him to lower the price like $100 dollars, throw in a camera bag, a faster 256 mbs memory card, and free overnight shipping.

I bet if my dad negotiated, he could have gotten all the things I got added, and at least double the price I got cutoff. Funny story about him was about 3-4 years ago I went with him to buy one of the huge commercial washer/dryers for a property. After his negotiations he told the guy, hey do you like jet skiing? The guy is like yeah I love it, and then my dads said all right help me out on the price and I’ll get you rooms at the property any weekend other than long weekend. The guy was like sure thing. It’s been 4 years later, and the guy still hasn’t called my dad to reserve the dates.

Haggling the price isn’t a symbol of poverty, or stinginess, but rather shows that you are smart.
